We have reced your Letter of the 19th and have no objection to your employing such number of Miners you mention that is Eight provided you are clear to have a Vend for the Coals but shd not we see how our Vend goes on for a little before we have that Number. We are glad to hear the Coal is promising. Wm Walker we think shd not be employed & desire he may not be employed 'till we have an opportunity of considering that matter when the pay is to be made. The Setting on of a Gin may as well be let alone till the same time & we will then talk over what relates to that. The Leading & Winning of Stones etc must be pd for at the Pay including the Carriage of Wood and every other article. The sooner you get holed into the Old Waste the better but pray be careful that no accident happens by that. We are
