Ravensworth Castle. May 22d 1741 To William Corbett Esqr Sir On the other side is your Accot. of Oats & Two firkins of Butter Sent by our Order amounting to Thirty Seven Pounds Twelve Shillings and Ten Pence for which N Walton has drawn a bill on you this day payable to Mr James Wood at 28 days date. & at the bottom of the Accot we have Signd the Recet. of the Money by the 1st Draught. There is 5s you will please to observe charge for laying on. board a former quantity which had been Omitted & we are afraid we shall have a further charge upon you for Waterage as all we have Sent have cost a penny a boule Waterage down River & we belive Mr Airey has some charge of that kind upon us. Except this waterage we think this makes a Clear Accot. between you & us for tho’ we paid Mr Claughton Five Guineas for his Journey Darnhall to meet Mr Boag there, we do0 not charge you with it, or any part of the Expence of Mr Emmersons Journey into Scotland. This Sir we begg leave to doe out of regard to your great friendship to us & hope you will not take it amiss that we doe so.
