To Wm Corbett Esqr Ravensworth Castle Novr 25 1737 Sir Edward & Matthew Brown & George Thompson who took Langley Castle Farme, only for one Year ending at Mayday next at the yearly Rent of £75 & Langley Draw Kills being taken by Matthew Brown at £8 for one Year ending at the Same time we are to acquaint You that the said Persons have offered for the Same the Rents above mentioned on Lease for 21 Years to Commence at Mayday next; And Mark Cook who took Dinnetley for one Year at £21 has offered to take the Same for 21 Years at the Yearly Rent of £18 Tyth free (being lett for this present year free of Tyth) These Persons desire to know whether the Directors are pleased to accept of them as Tennts at the above Rents on Lease for 21 Years wch we desire You will be pleased to lay before them for their Consideration. They Are all very Substantial Tennants We are Sir Yours etc Walton & Boag PS Dinnetly Farm is realy too dear at £21 & we believe not worth more than £18 or £19 nay we doubt no Person, that is able To pay the Rent, will give more than £18 for it
