To Wm. Corbett Esq.



Sir

      We are Concerned to hear you have Sustained any loss to your last Quantity of oates, occasioned by the badness of the Sacks. They Stood Some time in the Sacks waiting for the George, who was Stopped by Contrary winds & that no doubt Tinder’d the Sacks & made those which were not in good Repair worse. We have by the George who is ready to Saile Sent 20 Quarters more having gott some more Sacks from Mr Skutt, & those which wanted Repaire are  mended, & I hope all will Come Safe, which will be great pleasure to  Sir Yours &c

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
