Ravensworth Castle Octo. 8. 1738 To William Corbett Esqr Sir We acquainted you that we had sent your Letter & the Boards Minute to Mr Constable by a special messenger, who returned with Mr Constables answer acknowledging the recet. thereof, in which Letter he acquaints us that he had wrote to you his answer in relation to that Affair, with which we thought proper to acquaint you. The Tennants are quite out of patience for want of their Leases & most of ‘em think they will never have any, it is realy a great inconvenience to us in the management & a great Loss to the Tennants who are unwilling to goe on with their Improvements till they are on what they call a certainty by having their Leases. We would be glad to see them putt forw[ar]d & are Sir Yours &c Walton & Boag
