We are Glad the Leases are signed by pt. of the Com<missioner>s & hope Sr. C. Wager by this, is gott safe back, so that in a little time he & the other mentioned will also sign them. We are doing nothing about Numbring the Wood, we not knowing how to proceed, for the Boards Minutes of the 14 may has ordered the Expence of new Valuing & Numbing the Trees to be laid before the General Court for their Directions therein & untill we have their order we apprehend we cannot proceed. We Wish (if they have any suspicion or thinks they are not so Exactly valued as they desire) if they would order them to be valued over again by Different hands & at the same time they may be numbred if they are not all Different people, some new ones may be joyned to the Old ones when we were ordered to gett a valuation of the Woods we did not Apprehend that we were to cause the Valuers put the value to each little tree apart, as we always Thought they were to be sold to the best Bidder. The men that was Imp[loyed in Valuing the woods were usuall valuers of Wood, & are Reputed Skilfull Honest men, but they may have faild in their Judge<me>nt, but we doe Assure you we know no other but that they are Justly done according to their knowledge we are Sir Your most Humb.
