Mr. Jno. White Newcastle 19 Aug. 1800 No. 11 John Street Minories London Sir The Refining Bellows wanted were to be of the following dimensions – The Pipe to be 2 Feet long being part of the 8f. 3 i. the whole length of Bellows from the breach to Muzzle, the Muzzle being the extremity of the Machine where the Pipe enters the Furnace & the Breach the other extremity – but as you have not yet proceeded in this part of the business please to make the length of the Bellows 8f. 8.i. instead of 8.f. 3. in (the Pipe being 2 f. ..of the said 8 f. 8 in); the Diam. of the Head to be 9 In. that is where the Pipe is inserted. the Pipe then to be round & of as large a Diam as the Head of the above size will admit & taper from thence to the Muzzle or extremity where it enters the Furnace and there not left round but flatted down for about 2In. into an Oval of the size directed inside measure - <Thou> we have at present have 2 Windfalls in the under Board that Board projects beyond the Leather to fasten the Chain to that moves the Bellows – Inclosed you having a Drawing of the above I am &c.
