I have to acknowledge the Receipt of your favor of the 24. Inst. inclosing a Bill Value £105.9. which Sum is in full for the Balance of your Accot. with Thos. Rd. Beaumont Esq. for Litharge sent you – Mr Blackett’s being from home, was the reason you had not an answer sooner – The present price of Litharge at this place is £22 ½ p[er] Ton – I am &c. T:C:

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
