								Bretton Octr. 29th 1797

My dear Sir,

I purpose sending my Steward Tweedale over to Hexham to see the Buildings and to speak to Mr. Johnson & the Plaisterers, he has some plans of Cornishes &c, he will leave this in the Morning and will be at Newcastle on Tuesday & will have the Honor of waiting upon You when he arrives. I will be much obliged to You to send the enclosed by the Post to Mr. Bell. Mrs. Beaumont unites with me in best Respects –

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
