Sir,

Understanding from Mr. Wheat that you wish me to relinquish my trust under Your marriage settlements, I beg leave to inform you that I shall at any time be ready to do so, & as Mr. Wheat is coming over here on Monday next the 12th inst. Mrs. Beaumont & myself shall be glad if you will accompany him to dinner & take a Bed, when we can converse on this Subject & some other matters which occurred previous to the Death of Sir Thomas Blackett respecting which Mrs. B and myself [wis]h to be more fully informed –

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
