Messrs Sigar Champnay & Co Newcastle on Tyne Nov 2nd 1832 Sirs Mr Crawhill having retired from the situation he held under Mr Bt I have succeeded him & beg leave to call your attention to the correspondence which has passed on the small Balnce of £6-2-5 due to the Eors of the late Mrs Beaumont. I have Mr AKeds letter of 30th Augt before me in which he states that Mr Sigar being from home he will on his return lay Mr Backhouses ltr before him which will have his attention we have no ltr from Mr Sigar since that time & as the Acts are now with the exception of this all closed. I have most particularly to request that you will favour us with a cheque for the amount. On reading over the correspondence of Mr AKed I observe he states that you always remitted for the freight & charges _ It is true you have generally remitted short for the amount due, but in no proportion to any amt of freight or charges. We have never in any instance sold Lead or Litharge to be delivered otherwise than at Blaydon, nor will we deviate from our established rule _ waiting your reply I am Sir Yr mo Obdt Servt Benjm Johnson
