Mr John Blackett	Amst the 6 9ber 1710

I give your hereby my most hearty thanks for your great civilitys when with you; & wishes it may be my good fortune to have Opportunity to make you a suitable return – I see Mr Fenwick att <Forgon> where I also very luckily met with his Bro with whom I spent 3 hours with great satisfaction & got (thank  God) very well here this morning, but missed the <Roo.> --  I shall presume to give you a line on my arrivall at Stockhm  where shall be proud of rendering you my acceptable Service, & you may be assured if it ever falls in my way to recommend you any business at Rotterdm . Gratitude will oblige me readily to embrace the Opportunity in your favour. – pray remember to send the pss <Holld> for Cousn Ridley the first opportunity which please note must not exceed 2s 8d pr Eng Yd  with you & for the Value must Dr [debit] Messrs Ridley’s Acct, desire the Ma[ster] to put it out of the way – I left with Mr Johnson a pamphlet (Faults on both sides) wch you may please to call for, do beleive you’ll think it worth reading, tis thought to be wrote by Mr Harley,

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale.
