Gentlemen	Inclosed you will receive a Bill drawn by Messrs Surtees Burdon & Co on Messrs Glyn & Co for Four Hundred & fifty Pounds to pay half a Years Composition for the Tythe Ore of Weardale Lead Mines due this day to the Revd Heny Hardinge from Thos Rd Beaumont Esqr _ Please to advise me on your Receipt of the Bill and acquaint Mr Hardinge with the same          I am Gentn Your most Obedt H[um]ble Servt   J.E.B

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
