Dear Sir        I wrote to you the 6th inst. to which I refer you.  Inclosed you have a Copy of a Letter from Mr Clark of the House of Commons respecting the Introduction of Lord Walsinghams Clause in the Division Bill etc.  I have the Pleasure to tell you that I have at length made a Considerable Sale of Lead at an Advanced Price to the London Buyers.  27000 Pieces one half Refined @ £20 P[er] Fr. and 2500 Pieces of Slag Lead @ £19.10. P[er] Fr. Payable in Bills due in Six Months; you will please to observe that little more than one half the quantity is yet come down to Blaydon, but I have wrote to Mr Hunter to hasten the Lead down, & to carry forward the Works at the several Lead Mills with Briskness.   The Balance due to you from the Newton family according to the Account settled with Mr Stephenson is £44.7.6 but should the Exec[uto]rs intend to contest this matter; I would recommend that one half that sum be accepted & a full discharge given etc.        I am etc    J.
