Gentn.   Mr Blackett received your Favour of the 3rd  Inst. inclosing a Bank Note, Amount thirty Pounds, which is placed to your Credit, would have acknowledged the receipt of it sooner, but waited till we had an Opportunity of sending you a piece fine Silver, which have done this Day p[er] Leeds Waggon, Containing Thirteen Hundred & Eighty nine Ounces, which you will please place to Account with Thomas Richard Beaumont Esqr. and advise Mr Blackett on your receipt of the same.  Mr Blackett observes what you say respecting the Test Bottoms, which he has disposed of, Since receiving yours.                    I am etc  T. C.

The Dukesfield Smelters and Carriers Project aimed to celebrate and discover the heritage of the Dukesfield Arches & lead carriers' routes between Blaydon and the lead mines of Allendale and Weardale. A two year community project, it was led by the Friends of the North Pennines in partnership with Hexhamshire and Slaley Parish Councils and the active support of Allendale Estates.
